Arequipa is one of Peru’s premier areas for whitewater rafting and the Chili River is less than 7km from the city center.  Beginning from the snowcapped peaks surrounding the valley, the pristine water of the Chili consists of Class II, III, and IV rapids.  Rafting the Chili will surely deliver an adrenaline-pumping good time while remaining suitable for all ages and levels of experience.

We run the river twice a day:

    In the morning from 8:00am to 11:00 a.m
    In the afternoon from 2.00 p.m

 Schedule:

    Pick up at 8:00 am (1:00pm for afternoon trip) from the hostal.
    Drive through the scenic Rio Chili Valley offering nice views of Volcano Misti and Chachani.
    Arrive at put-in around 9:00am (2:00pm)
    Receive informative safety debriefing
    8km rafting trip consisting of exciting Class III and Class IV rapids
    Delicious snack break… chocolate!
    Return to hostal around 1:00pm (5:00pm)

Equipment provided:

    Helmet
    Life Jacket
    Wetsuit
    Dry top
    Wet shoes
    Rafts (6 people per raft)
    Paddles
    Snack and bottled water

What you should bring:

    Dry change of clothes
    Bathing suit
    Towel (optional)
    Comfortable, water-ready shoes (optional)
    Sunblock
    Sweatshirt/jacket (it can get chilly in the evenings and in the shade)
